Summer Update

Matt Miles • Jul 22, 2019

As Paul exhorted those in the Philippian church, I now exhort all of you who support this ministry with your offerings: “…a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God” (Phil. 4:18b). Over the course of this year, the Lord has faithfully sustained this ministry month after month. As the number of programs this spring have been down so have been our finances. We are a mission ministry with the task to take the truth of God’s Word to embolden disciples’ faith in their Lord Jesus Christ. Each month we must trust the Lord to sustain us. Your gifts have truly blessed us at the right time; thank you.

One of the many blessings over the last several months was the funds to purchase our truck for the medium rig of dinosaurs. The 2015 Ram has helped us accomplish several trips that would not have been feasible with the old Yukon. The ability to load our telescope and equipment in the back and set off for camps and VBS programs this summer has been priceless. It has ferried us through 10 states and to Canada since joining our stable. We look forward to many more miles and hope that it brings us to you one of these days, if it has not yet done so. Thank you to everyone that gave so that this valuable ministry tool would be debt free.

Once again, I know that the Lord is the one who sustains us to continue our mission through you, our faithful supporters, just as I know He rewards the faithful when sacrifice is made for the Kingdom. “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:19).

Blessings, and continue to have a profitable summer for the Kingdom.

This summer we have been busy advancing our mission. Not only have we traveled many miles in our efforts, but we have almost completed our Mobile Museum of Earth History expansion. Back at the beginning of the year when we announced the expansion, there was uncertainty around the time frame of completion since we knew the amount of design and fabrication that was needed for this task. Then an event that was scheduled for the end of summer with the full collection was upgraded to the “mega” expanded collection. This put a deadline on our expansion that focused us and applied a bit of pressure. With many hours of head scratching, planning, design and sweat, we slowly brought the expansion together. When we were unsure about new stands needed for our 24-foot wide Pteranodon , the Lord provided. Michael and Amy Harris (supporters from Willow Hill, IL) donated disc blades, while Aaron Lawrence (minister at Barnsdall Christian Church, OK) fabricated the blades into bases and made rods and hooks to hold the fossil. The stands are such a blessing and exactly what we needed to exhibit one of the Lord’s creations. The Lord has continually provided what we've needed from supplies to funds.
