Statement of Faith

The Bible:

The unique divine inspiration of all the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments as originally given, so that they are infallibly and uniquely authoritative and free from error of any sort, in all matters with which they deal, scientific and historical as well as moral and theological. [John 10:35, 17:17; II Timothy 3:16-17]

Special Creation:

Special creation of the existing space, mass, and time in the universe and all its basic systems and kinds of organisms in the six literal days of creation week. [Genesis 1:1-2:3; Exodus 20:11; Acts 17:24-26; Romans 1:20]

Historicity:

The full historicity and accuracy of the Biblical record of primeval history [Genesis 5:1-32; I Chronicles 1:1-53; Luke 3:23-38], including the literal existence of Adam and Eve as the progenitors of all people [Genesis 1:26-30, 2:7-25, 3:20; Matthew 19:4-6], the literal fall and resultant divine curse on the creation [Genesis 3:1-24; Romans 5:12-14, 8:20-22; I Corinthians 15:21-22], the worldwide cataclysmic flood [Genesis 6:13-9:17; Matthew 24:37-39; Hebrews 11:7; II Peter 2:5, 3:5-6], and the origin of the nations and languages at the tower of Babel [Genesis 11:1-9; Deuteronomy 32:8].

God:

The triune, Godhead- one eternal, transcendent, omnipotent, personal God existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. [Psalm 33:6-15 Isaiah 44:24; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; II Corinthians 13:14; Colossians 2:9]

Jesus Christ:

The person of God dwelling in the flesh as Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God [Matthew 16:16; John 1:1-4, 14]. He is the Savior of the world [John 4:42], born of a virgin [Matthew 1:22-23], lived a sinless life [Hebrews 4:15], was crucified for the atonement of sins for all mankind [I John 2:2], physically arose from the dead [Matthew 28:1-10; Acts 2:24-32, 13:29-38], and is coming back again [John 14:1-3; Revelation 22:12-21]. Through Him, and Him alone, is salvation found [John 14:4-6; Acts 4:10-12].

Redemption:

The substitutionary and redemptive sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the sin of the world [I John 2:2], through His literal physical death, burial and resurrection, followed by His bodily ascension into Heaven [Hebrews 10:10-14].

Salvation:

Personal salvation from the eternal penalty of sin is provided solely by the grace of God [Ephesians 2:8] on the basis of the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus Christ [I Peter 1:3, 2:24], to be received only through personal faith in His person, testimony [I John 5:4-13], and the working of God [Colossians 2:9-14].

Holy Spirit:

The Spirit of God convicts [John 16:7-11], regenerates [John 3:3-8; Titus 3:5-6], indwells [Romans 8:11; I Corinthians 3:16, 6:19], seals all believers in Christ [Ephesians 1:13], and fills those who yield to Him [Acts 4:31, 13:52; Ephesians 5:18].

Satan:

The existence of a personal, malignant being called Satan who acts as deceiver, tempter and accuser [John 8:44; II Corinthians 11:3-4; Revelation 12:9-10], for whom the place of eternal punishment was prepared, where all who die outside of Christ shall be confined [Mathew 25:41].

Last Things:

The future, personal, bodily return of Jesus Christ to the earth to judge and purge sin, to establish His eternal Kingdom and to consummate and fulfill His purposes in the works of creation and redemption with eternal rewards and punishments. [Matthew 25:31-46]
