Creation Truth Foundation

G. Thomas Sharp • Aug 29, 2019

Rejoicing today because Creation Truth Foundation has been in operation for 30 years…hard to imagine the brevity of life! Wow! And when I consider this it causes a litany of associated memories, because this has been for me a significant trip! Many faces and names come to mind, but none more significant than Dr. Edward J. Kelley, pastor of a great church in Birmingham, AL—the place where CTF was birthed in 1989!

When the Lord originally put this vision in my heart (about 1987), I was flying back to Oklahoma City from the Southeast (please forgive me, for I am sure that I have rehearsed this story to you before). Nevertheless, when I had just finished conducting the revival meeting, the Lord began showing me the need for a teaching ministry that emphasized the foundational nature of the Genesis creation on the balance of the Scripture! I thought … if I emphasize “Creation,” then it would be good to use the word “Creation” in the name of the ministry. And since creation is basic to all Biblical truth, then “Truth” should be included in the name also. And since this is foundational to all other Biblical truth, then the word “Foundation” should be included in the name of the ministry as well.

Remember, I am flying back to Oklahoma City, and somewhere in the air about 30,000 feet up, I audibly said, in a low tone of voice, “ Creation Truth Foundation ,” and this vision exploded in my heart, and tears flowed down my cheeks!

We started the CTF ministry in our home and worked from there for about 13 years. Those were precious days, occasionally stressful for Diane because we eventually occupied most of the downstairs of our home. When our office staff reached five full-time workers, I began seeking the Lord for some relief! Ha! We stepped out in faith and purchased an old office building in downtown Noble. We were able to renovate this century old building in six months or so and moved into our present office facility in 1994—for which we praise the Lord, especially my wife, Diane.

We have grown much over the years and God has given us wonderful young, mature men to carry on with this ministry (Matt, Bob and Ryan, and their spouses and families)—for which I praise God every day. We have been able through the help of a donor to purchase over one million dollars of dinosaurs, not counting the trucks and trailers, telescopes, computers, to facilitate the mobile nature of this ministry (plus an office building in Noble, OK) … We have taken the dinosaurs over a hundred thousand miles and set them up in churches, schools, warehouses, shopping centers and miscellaneous buildings all over this country. And, in the last ten years or so, the Lord has enabled us to be debt free, all the while meeting the needs of the CTF payroll in a timely fashion— to God is the Glory!

It has been a tremendous blessing to witness God’s marvelous provision through the years. We could not have done it without the many faithful people who have given sacrificially to CTF. To God be the Glory. So, I wish I could personally hug your neck and tell you with my own voice, “Thank-You!” Nevertheless, rejoice with us as we celebrate His overwhelming provision for these past 30 years. Please receive mine and my wife’s sincere love and appreciation, Isaiah 40:28-31.

Sincerely, Doc & Diane

This summer we have been busy advancing our mission. Not only have we traveled many miles in our efforts, but we have almost completed our Mobile Museum of Earth History expansion. Back at the beginning of the year when we announced the expansion, there was uncertainty around the time frame of completion since we knew the amount of design and fabrication that was needed for this task. Then an event that was scheduled for the end of summer with the full collection was upgraded to the “mega” expanded collection. This put a deadline on our expansion that focused us and applied a bit of pressure. With many hours of head scratching, planning, design and sweat, we slowly brought the expansion together. When we were unsure about new stands needed for our 24-foot wide Pteranodon , the Lord provided. Michael and Amy Harris (supporters from Willow Hill, IL) donated disc blades, while Aaron Lawrence (minister at Barnsdall Christian Church, OK) fabricated the blades into bases and made rods and hooks to hold the fossil. The stands are such a blessing and exactly what we needed to exhibit one of the Lord’s creations. The Lord has continually provided what we've needed from supplies to funds.
